An American businessman disappears into the jungle when his plane is forced down in the Congo. At home, his wife and his little blind son become increasingly disturbed by the situation. As things worsen, both husband and wife think obsessively about their relationship and its direction, as he tries to survive in an alien environment and she tries to carry on without him.
