Annie Knowles should be perfectly happy. She has a wonderful husband, two great kids, a gorgeous old house in an enviable community, and a teaching job at the local college. What's missing? Annie finds out when her husband, Michael, begins working at a women's health center where abortions are done, and the Knowles family gets anonymous threats. At first, they assume the threats are for Michael, from fanatical pro-lifers. But perhaps they are really for Annie....
