After the Secret Service ignores a warning that the President`s personal security is compromised, an assassin injures the President and kills two members of his entourage. Although a man confesses to the crime in a suicide note, the head of Homeland Security refuses to close the case, determined to discover who provided the warning. For this task, he calls upon Joe De Marco, a lawyer who performs various discreet, unusual jobs for the Speaker of the House.
