The apple doesn`t fall very far from the tree in this suspenseful debut from the son of acclaimed thriller writers Faye and Jonathan Kellerman. After Gloria Mendez`s employer (and unrequited love), Carl Perreira, fails to return from his annual trip to Mexico, the secretary takes it upon herself to go look for him--or at the very least, recover his body. In the process Gloria learns that she didn`t know as much about Carl as she thought she did, and her miscalculation may prove fatal.
