In this hard SF novel/right-wing thriller, entrepreneur Dan Randolph and his Astro Corporation plan to manufacture a series of satellites that will collect solar energy and send it to Earth, eliminating any future American need for Middle Eastern oil. In order to realize his dream, Dan must fight off outright critics and his creditors, and determine which of his apparent allies can actually be relied upon, and which are deadly enemies in disguise.
