The insistently zany detective Kinky Friedman returns in a mystery full of international intrigue and toilet humor. On a flight from Dallas to New York, Friedman meets a femme fatale named Khadija. Khadija leaves her cosmetics bag with him, and Friedman soon realizes that both the State Department and a group of Arab terrorists are after it.

A farmer, Tom Lasker, finds a sailboat made of materials unknown to science buried in his wheatfield. When he and a team of friends and scientists look for a boathouse, they find it on a neighboring Sioux reservation. The discoveries cause a national uproar, and Tom has to persuade the president not to desecrate the Sioux reservation or destroy the mysterious artifacts.
